Old payday loan. calling now, threatening. I asked for something in writing, refused. any recourse?

notagain asked:

This was 3 1/2 yrs ago. I am not denying that I had the loan. I really don’t know for sure if I paid it or not. Times were very bad then. If I really owe it, I’ll pay it. I just wanted something in writing, to review. If was refused, that seems fishy to me, like maybe they don’t really have a leg to stand on. However, either way, I can’t deal with the constant threatening messages.

Where can I find a legit loan?

june6478 asked:

I was curious as to why I got turned down for a loan at my bank. Then I ran my own credit check to find out that my FICO is 507. I reviewed the entire list and with one phone call I found that there were numerous (some identical) listings from the same collection agency. One conversation, with the collection agency explained everything. A doctor’s office had not submitted billing to my insurance company within their required time frame, 90 days. I can contest and have these items removed by proving it was the fault of the doctor’s billing department. I contacted the collection agency a few months ago but and they agreed to remove it but, its still there and I’m still getting turned down for credit. I also have a workman’s comp claim that was never paid by my ex-employer, I have just been getting the runaround between the employer, collection agency and the doctor’s billing department. I have a credit card that I was late on, but has been positive for the past five months.

I have had some personal issues come up and had to miss three weeks of work. I also had to put money down to buy a vehicle when it became apparent that paying the down payment was more feasible than dumping more money into a vehicle that had so many problems. This has left me broke. I got into a payday loan mess that I need to get out of, that’s part of it, I want to add the remaining balance of my auto loan and a small installment loan that I have. All together I would like to get $5000.

So there’s most of my situation. I need to get some funds together rather quickly. Does anybody have any legitimate ideas on how I can get the loan?

If anyone wants to offer the loan and requires an upfront fees need not reply.
If there are any ideas I need a website address, street address or a land line telephone number.

Payday Loan Scam? Called work?

Anthony asked:

I received numerous calls on my cell and two at my job from some company in CA. The number listed on my phone is 916 395 0000 and when I call on my cell it says they are disconnected.

About two months ago I inquired about one but never agreed or received any money. This group claims I received it and said I owe with fees 800 something. I doubled check my statements and have never received any form of payment in my acc.

I asked if he could provide me with documentation showing all this and he said legally he can’t and that all he can do is tell me the amount owed and that if I don’t settle this they will send a investigator to my job this week. They are going to call me back tommo.

To be clear, I have never received any payday loan and my bank statements can prove it. Is this some scam, the work calls and threat to come to my job has me a little nervous.

What can I do about a scam payday loan company who continues to harass me to no end?

Ron asked:

The company is called Usa Cash Advance the people there state to customers that they gave “loans” to people and they harass them to pay back the money, or they will put them in jail or prison etc. This has happened to many people including a close family friend of mine. They don’t seem to give up.

How do I get out of these payday loan scams?

jensilver77 asked:

They are taking every penny I have and then some;overdrawing my account and leaving me with nothing, leaving me to live in the red. I know I shouldn’t have gotten them in the first place, but what can I do now? I need something to live on, money to pay my rent, but they are taking it all. They take all my money, all my direct deposit, every week and this is just to pay their crazy high interest rates, this doesn’t go to actually paying off the loan. I tried talking to them too (it’s multiple companies I borrowed from) but they mainly just pretend to help you by switching due dates around which doesn’t really help. Need help, need money to live on!

Has anyone ever used paydayloandebtassistance.com reviews?

sarahdcm82 asked:

We have several thousand dollars in payday loans and can’t get out from under them. We already have these loans so don’t comment about what a bad idea they are please, we realize that now. However, we found this website paydayloandebtassistance.com that says they can consolidate them for us and we can pay a much lower monthly fee and get them paid off within 12 months. I would love to hear about anyones experience with this website. Thank you so much

Are there any pay day loan companies that accept bank statements instead of pay stubs?

Mitz asked:

I applied for a pay day loan with an online company and my application was rejected because I don’t have pay stubs. I own my own business but recently fell short of cash. I won’t bother with the online payday loan companies that claim not to review income at all because they just direct me to scam websites. Anyone know of a good online payday loan company that will give me a loan by just reviewing my bank statements?

Payday Loan Scam Now Local?

Mindy Hughes asked:

So I know the people behind these scams were originally from India or Nigeria, always with thick accents, but are Americans now starting to scam other Americans? I’ve dealt with the overseas guys about two years ago, and now today I get a call from a guy who sounds fully American, trying to do the same thing? I don’t know if I am just being paranoid, but could they be for real? Or just another payday loan scam, telling me to get an attorney, blah blah blah…..so sad if our own are now in on this horrid scam! Thoughts??
Btw: I googled the name of the company he said he was from, couldn’t Find ANYTHING! then googled the “company number” and it came up as a website design company, lol! My GUT says it’s a scam. The other number he called me from I think is a VoIP number because when I call it it rings a few times then nothing, not even a voicemail. So anyway, wouldnt a “reputable” company have AT LEAST a google result? Showing a number, address, whatever….?? Ran my credit, no unknown loans…. Just weird.
